Every week three families are told their child has cancer. Each year New Zealand children with cancer collectively undergo an astounding 100,000 treatments and procedures. For each one they receive a Bead of Courage®.

Through offering and coordinating support services the Child Cancer Foundation ensure children and their families are supported, informed and well cared for at every stage of their cancer journey.

The government does not contribute to the $5 million required each year for child and family support services. The Foundation therefore relies completely on the generosity and support of New Zealanders to continue their work with families on the cancer journey.
