Frequently asked questions about funrazor
I have banked my money at Westpac, but the amount isn't showing on my fundraiseonline.com
page - how do I change this?
- Log into your fundraiseonline account with the username (email address) and password
you chose when the account was set up. If you need it, there is a password reminder
function as well.
- Once you are logged in, use the 'edit page' button to get into your fundraising
page.
- At the bottom of your page, there is a yellow box marked 'total raised offline'
- you can manually enter the amount you have banked into the box. The amount will
automatically be added to your online donations, giving you an updated total.
Some of my sponsors are asking for receipts for their donation. How do i get them
a receipt?
IF THEY DONATED ONLINE
Donations received via the fundraiseonline website will automatically receive a
tax receipt by return email. If they didn't receive this, email us their details
and yours, and we can ask the site to send another one through.
IF THEY GAVE YOU CASH/ A CHEQUE
If one of your sponsors asks you for a receipt for their donation, fill out their
details on your sponsorship pack and email funrazor_receipts@childcancer.org.nz
Once you send the sponsorship form to the Child Cancer Foundation (after you have
banked all your sponsorship money), they will issue any receipts that have been
requested.
I am about to do my banking at Westpac, and i have noticed that there are only 6
boxes on the Westpac deposit slips for my Shavee ID number to be referenced ...
but my Shavee ID is 7 digits long!
Don't worry! Westpac reassures us that it is ok to use a 7 digit number as a reference.
So just write it under the preprinted boxes and point out to the teller that it
is important that all 7 digits are included in the reference.
I'm trying to set myself up on fundraiseonline and it's asking for a supporter code
- where do i get that from?
Your unique funrazor supporter code is your LID ID number that you are issued when
you register. This will be sent to you with your sponsorship pack, either by post
or email - depending on what option you select when you register.
I have long healthy hair, can you collect the hair and donate it to be used to make
a wig for someone who needs it?
Currently we are not set up to be able to collect hair as it falls at the event
BUT you are welcome to bring a helper personally and ask them to accompany you on
stage to catch your hair.
You can try getting in touch with the following businesses to see if they are interested
in using your hair:
Freedom Wigs in Dunedin on (03) 477 7575 or freephone 0508 37 37 37.
Freedom Wigs only buy and use hair 30cm or longer, and it must all be 'pointing
the same way'- ideally in plaits or a ponytail (or several small ponytails) when
it's cut. Freedom Wigs will accept your hair if you send it to them with your name
and address, and will even make a small donation to the Child Cancer Foundation!
Dyed or permed hair, hair picked up off the floor, or shorter than 30cm isn't useable,
unfortunately.
Wigs by Hair Creations in Auckland on (09) 357 6159.
Hair Creations wigs are made overseas, however will accept donations of hair for
use in wig repairs.
